Located in the municipal district of Calvia on the island of Mallorca, the large town of Palma Nova was a purpose built resort aimed at sun-seeking tourists. A lively sun and fun resort, Palma Nova and its neighbour Magaluf are the 2 largest resorts in the area, Palma Nova is built around three fine sandy beaches backed by the promenade 'Passeig Maritim'.
In the Palma Nova area there are a number of tourist attractions and these include the popular Golf Fantasia, a mini-golf park set amongst attractive tropical gardens close to the Bahia Palma Nova Hotel, also within easy driving distance are the Pirates Adventure at Magaluf, Aqualand (also in Magaluf), Marineland in Portals Nous and the Western Water Park, another attraction in neighbouring Magaluf.
For the adult golfers there is always the Santa Ponsa Golf complex, in nearby Santa Ponsa, by panning left on the Palma Nova map you will be able to see the golf course.
Palma Nova benefits from a wonderful climate, and you can normally expect sunny weather between the months of May and October, the winter months are pretty good as well though the weather can be cooler with a little more rain.
Palma Nova is in the Calvia region of Mallorca and can be reached by way of the MA-1 motorway from Palma de Mallorca, it is about 20 kilometres from the airport to the east of Palma. Mallorca is in the Balearic Islands, located in the Mediterranean Sea off the eastern coast of mainland Spain.
