Resort Guide to Can Pastilla Majorca (Mallorca)
A pleasant resort located on the east side of the Badia de Palma (Bay of Plama) in Mallorca, Can Pastilla spreads inland almost to the boundary of the airport. A popular family resort with numerous hotels and apartment complexes, Can Pastilla has a fine sandy beach (plus a couple of others nearby), a lovely palm lined promenade and plenty of bars and restaurants, which come to life in the evenings, providing visitors with entertainment long into the night.
The promenade which runs south the El Arenal (S’Arenal) is popular for a stroll, especially in the evenings when the heat of the Mallorcan sun has subsided. Can Pastilla beach is sandy, clean and generally safe for children, with shallow, warm water, play facilities, and loungers and parasols for the parents.
Can Pastilla harbour is small but attractive and a good place to spot some superb luxury yachts at anchor, the harbour is also the place to find out about water sports facilities, though El Arenal is perhaps a better spot for this. Can Pastilla is a popular area for kite-surfers, though this sport is better carried out in the winter months, when the winds are higher and the water and beach, less crowded.
Can Pastilla hotels include the Fontanellas Playa Hotel, the Miraflores Hotel, the Helios Mallorca Hotel, the Roc Linda Hotel, and the Marina Luz Hotel, there are plenty of other to choose from.
Can Pastilla is located on the MA-19 south-east of Majorca's capital Palma de Mallorca.
