El Arenal Map - Zoomable street map of El Arenal (S'Arenal) one of the most popular holiday destinations on the island of Mallorca in the Spanish Balearic Islands. El Arenal has a great choice of hotels and holiday rental accommodation, some excellent beaches and a lively nightlife scene. El Arenal is a renowned 'package holiday' resort, served by the major tour operaters.

It is also possible to view the areas of Son Veri Nou, Cala Blava, Bellavista, Ses Cadenes, Las Maravillas, Sometimes and Can Pastilla, it also possible to view the airport to the south-east of the capital Palma de Mallorca.
El Arenal was one of the first resort developed for mass tourism on the island of Mallorca (Majorca), as a result it has become somewhat over developed for some peoples taste, however it is a sun and fun resort which attracts many thousands of holidaymakers each year and it has a fabulous beach with many other fine beaches nearby. There are plenty of bars and restaurants and lots of evening entertainment, which will suit those seeking a fun packed holiday.
Culture seekers or those looking for a peaceful break will probably prefer to head for one of the quieter resorts. One of the biggest water parks in Europe, Aqualand is located in El Arenal and this superb park will be a great attraction for families and is a good place to take the kids for an entire day, the park is open from mid-May to the end of September, entry fees (2008) are Adults ?21.50, Children ?13.50 (Kids under 4 entry free).
El Arenal can be reached by way of the MA-19 from Palma de Mallorca, it is about 10 kilometres from the airport to the south-east of Palma de Mallorca.
