A more upmarket resort with some luxury hotels, a casino and an attractive promenade, San Agustin Gran Canaria is very close to the busy resort of Playa del Ingles in southern Gran Canaria. The main beach (Playa de San Agustin) is made up of dark sand, as are the resort's other beaches Playa de las Burres and Playa del Morro Besado. Aimed at a more exclusive clientele than nearby Playa del Ingles, Sa Guastin has some excellent restaurants and facilties. To keep the kids happy head for the Go-Kart track (Carretera General de Sur), or the wild west theme park at Soiux City (Cañon de Aguila), also worth a look is the Palmitos Park botanical gardens.
San Agustin can be reached by way of the GC-500 or the GC-1, it is east of Playa del Ingles and Maspalomas and about 30 kilometres from the airport.
