Places to Visit in Lanzarote - Orzola

Orzola Lanzarote - Lying on the extreme north coast of Lanzarote in an area of steep cliffs, the peaceful little fishing village of Orzola is well known for the quality of its seafood restaurants, dotted around the fishing harbour.

The nearby Playa de la Canteria is one of the only beaches in this part of the island, it is a beautiful beach for sunbathing, but swimming is not advised due to strong sea currents which occur there.

Most people visit Orzola in order to take the motor boat service to Caleta del Sebo on the nearby Isla Graciosa, a small 27km2 island separated from Lanzarote by the El Rio straits.

It is also possible to view, but not visit, two smaller islands called MontaƱa Clara and Alegranza which are part of a protected National Park.

Orzola is the most northerly village in Lanzarote and can be reached via the LZ-1 or the LZ-204.
