Altea is a popular and picturesque coastal resort, one of the prettiest on the Costa Blanca, its attractive blue domed church is one of the landmarks of the region. Altea is situated on the N332 coast road and can also be easily accessed from the AP-7 motorway, it is about 60 kilometres from Alicante airport. Places of interest around Altea include the Penyal D'Ifac at Calpe, Guadalest, the Fuentes de Algar near to Callosa D'En Sarria and Benidorm.
