Roda - Costa Calida - Spain

Roda Spain: Situated in the San Javier municipality, Roda is just a short drive from the warm waters of the Mar Menor, close to the village of Dolores.

An agricultural village and location of an estate established by one Count Guillen of Roda, it has remained largely unspoilt and continues its Spanish traditions, despite being surrounded by modern holiday resorts.

The estate house dates from the eighteenth century, though the earlier fortress is now mostly ruined and dates from the fifteenth century.

The Roda estate has close ties with the Spanish Royal Family, many members of which, have often visited over the years.

Close to the village, is the Roda Golf Resort, one of the many relatively new golf complexes to have been built in the Murcia and Mar Menor region.

Roda is located just inland from the coastal resorts of Los Alcazares and Los Narejos, and is close to the village of Dolores in the Murcia region of Spain.

Roda can be accessed from the AP-7 motorway and from the N-332.
