Chipmunk photo taken at the Rio Safari, Elche in 2006, the chipmunks are very tame and will come up and take a peanut from the hands of visitors. Feeding of animals is encouraged at the Rio Safari and among the animals that you can feed are the giraffes, the goats, the hippo and the reindeer.
Though these creatures are thought by many to be chipmunks, we think that they are really better known as prairie dogs and are originally a native of Africa.
