The small coastal village of Altafulla is situated between the towns of La Mora and Torredembarra, it is just a small fishing village which has become a popular tourist destination for those seeking to get away from the busy Costa Dorada resorts such as Salou and Cambrils.
Altafulla has retained much of its 'fishing village' charm and still has some Roman ruins which can be explored. Holidaymakers visit to enjoy the fine sandy beaches and warm climate. Altafulla is also within easy driving distance of the renowned resorts of Salou and La Pineda and the nearby Port Aventura theme park.
Altafulla can be accessed from the A-7 (E-15) motorway or from the N-340a and is 11 kilometres to the north-east of Tarragona, it is about 74 kilometres from the airport at Barcelona, Reus airport is just 20 kilometres away.
