Torrevieja is a popular coastal town located on the southern Costa Blanca, just a small fishing village up until the explosion of tourism and property development in the 1980's, Torrevieja has grown enormously over the last 25 years.

A busy and vibrant town during the hot summer months, there are a wide range of facilities available to visitors, the massive Friday market is the biggest for miles around and is a great place to buy fresh, locally grown produce and to find cheap clothes and gifts.

The Aqua Splash park is open only during the Spanish school holidays (June to September) and had some great slides and a nice picnic area.

The fine promenade and marina also features a funfair and daily craft market.
